Who I Am

I am a senior Interior Architecture student at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point with a passion for designing spaces that are both functional and meaningful. My academic work is driven by a strong foundation in problem-solving, creativity, and attention to detail, qualities reflected in my recognition as a two-time recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Award within the College of Fine Arts and Communication. Outside the studio, my background has shaped the way I approach design. Growing up homeschool, I had the opportunity to travel extensively, visiting 40 states by the age of 18, which broadened my perspective on culture, environments, architecture, design, and how people interact with space. These experiences continue to influence my design thinking and adaptability. I also spent over a decade involved in both 4-H and Girl Scouts, where I developed strong leadership, teamwork, and community engagement skills through service projects, group initiatives, and hands-on learning. Earning my Girl Scout Bronze Award further strengthened my commitment to impactful and purposeful work. Additionally, achieving a black belt in Taekwondo at age 13 taught me discipline, perseverance, and focus, all qualities I carry into both my academic and design work. Together, these experiences have shaped me into a driven, collaborative designer who values thoughtful design, strong community connections, and continuous growth.
